More evidence Cardinal Pell is being railroaded

We're all aware of the many problems associated with the trial of Cardinal Pell ranging from the fact that it was a purely he said he said case with lots of testimony that his accusers claims couldn't be true  to the fact that only one person has accused him of inappropriate behavior over a span of decades.

But now we have more evidence that the fix was in. After silencing the press on the trial the judge required his sentencing speech to be shown on TV.  That means that the public was treated to 30 minutes of the judge condemning Pell with Pell having no ability to respond.

It's reminiscent of the trials in various totalitarian countries where the facts are hidden but the preordained results are broadcast to the people.

This is especially bad because it essentially makes it impossible for Pell to get a fair hearing at his appeal.

But even aside from that how bizarre is it that a judge ordered the sentencing of anyone who has committed any crime to be broadcast on TV?

I don't know but I suspect that that doesn't occur when other people convicted of molesting a teenage boy.

It's becoming clear that the left wing anti-Catholic establishment in Australia is more interested in destroying the Catholic Church than they are in real justice.
