However compared to the lyrics of many rap "songs" it's insanely tame. Yet the same voices who are attacking "Baby it's cold outside" are completely silent about the misogyny that abounds in rap music.
Further they're all for abortion and casual sex.
It's interesting to note that in "Baby it's cold outside" the man is trying to convince the woman to choose to stay inside; he's not threatening her or harassing her. Hence while the song is about seduction it's about the same sort of casual sex that the left extolls not some sort of sexual harassment.
So why is the left up in arms about it? Because to the left what matters is virtue signaling. They can't attack rap music because in their minds that'd be racist, they can't attack casual sex because that's their core belief, so the only way they can make themselves feel happy by virtue signaling is to attack an ancient song famously associated with white people.
Like all virtue signaling it's for the benefit of the left not for any victims. If they succeed in banning "Baby it's cold outside" they won't have reduced misogyny and they won't have made women safer.
But their primary goal of making themselves feel good about themselves will be accomplished.
That's what the left is all about; making themselves feel good.

He's not trying to seduce her. He's already seduced her. He's trying to convince her that he can keep her reputation intact.
Also, in Neptune's Daughter, the song is presented both ways in the same scene. Where in one room, Ricardo Montalban is telling his date, Baby it's Cold Outside, Brtty Garrett is across the hall saying the same thing to her date to get him not not leave.
Once again, it's not about seduction, it's about misandry. The people who hate this song hate it because they hate men. They don't want to see Eve and Jose together OR Jack and Betty together -- they want to see Eve and Betty together.
