Comey admits that the Steel dossier is unverified

Comey went before Congress and admitted that when the FBI used the Hillary paid for Russian sourced Steele dossier to get authorization to use the entire US intelligence establishment to spy on the Trump campaign they hadn't verified it.

If you don't think that a government official using unverified opposition research to authorize spying on a presidential candidate is scary then you had better have never said anything bad about Watergate. The original crime in Watergate was Republican operatives breaking into a Democrat office to try and find out what the Democrats were up to.  That's pocket change compared to using the CIA and the NSA to spy on Trump.

This is a big deal because it's clear proof that from the very beginning the investigation into "collusion" had nothing to do with facts and everything to do with defeating the Republican candidate for President.
