However the Democrats and the #FakeNews media are lying and saying that the purpose of the hearings is to show that Trump bribed or extorted or had a quid pro quo or did something wrong.
Clearly that's the case since the 3 biggest witnesses the Democrats have called to date--former Ambassador Yovanovitch, acting Ambassador Taylor, and George Kent--have all testified that they have no knowledge of Trump doing anything wrong.
On Friday the latest witness, former Ambassador Yovanovitch said:
Stewart: "I would now feel compelled to ask you, Madam Ambassador, as you sit here before us, very simply and directly, do you have any information regarding the president of the United States accepting any bribes?"
Yovanovitch: "No."
Stewart: "Do you have any information regarding any criminal activity that the president of the United States has been involved with at all?"
Yovanovitch: "No."
It doesn't get any clearer than that. Yet the Democrats and their stooges in the #FakeNews media will continue to lie to you and say that there's lots of evidence of Trump doing all sorts of evil things.
Remember these are the same Democrats and "reporters" who lied to you about Trump colluding with Russia for two years. As Rep Nunes pointed out they have absolutely no credibility anymore and unless they can produce evidence to support their lies no one should trust them.
If the Democrats had any evidence of Trump doing anything wrong and they used that as the basis for Adam Schiff's witch-hunt they would have revealed that to the American people by now.
That they haven't is essentially proof that this whole sham hearing is nothing more than the Democrats trying to destroy the democratic process.
