Hunter Biden was invoked to get Burisma access to the US government

John Solomon has been doing a great job digging out what really went on when Joe Biden misused his power as VP to keep his cocaine using son Hunter rolling in cash.

We know that Joe Biden boasted about firing the prosecutor who was investigating corruption by the company, Burisma, that was paying Hunter as much as $83k a month even though Hunter never went to Ukraine and had no experience in the energy sector.

We know that Hunter has admitted that he probably wouldn't have gotten the sweet gig if his dad wasn't VP.

We know that the only time Joe Biden ever personally saw that a foreign prosecutor was fired was the time he saw to it that the only prosecutor in the world who was investigating his son was fired.

We know that a State Department employee raised a red flag in 2015, that was rejected, about Hunter's activities because at the very least they looked like corruption and that made it hard for the State Department to get Ukraine leaders to end their own corruption.

Now we know, thanks to a FOIA filed by Solomon, that prior to Joe's heroic defense of corruption in Ukraine representatives of Burisma had reached out to the US State Department for a meeting.

An internal state Department email said:

“Per our conversation, Karen Tramontano of Blue Star Strategies requested a meeting to discuss with U/S Novelli USG remarks alleging Burisma (Ukrainian energy company) of corruption,” a Feb. 24, 2016, emailbetween State officials read. “She noted that two high profile U.S. citizens are affiliated with the company (including Hunter Biden as a board member).

Clearly Hunter's role on the board was at least in part to get influence with the US government.

That's why Hunter should never have been taking money from a country that his dad was in charge of US relations with.

Imagine if you're someone in the State Department and a foreign company with the son of the VP on its board wants to meet with you.  Most of us would admit that we'd be more likely to meet with them than if they were the exact same company without the VP's son on the board.  Even if the VP had never said a word to us.

That's why Joe Biden can't plead ignorance.  Even if he's not lying about not knowing that his son was getting paid a fortune by a corrupt company he should have known to avoid putting innocent government employees in a bind.

If Burisma invokes the Biden name due to Hunter how likely is it that State Department people are going to call Joe up and see if he wants them to give special treatment to his son's company?

By allowing Hunter to take money from a Ukraine company Joe Biden tacitly approved of Burisma throwing Joe Biden's name around.
