New York Times paid no income taxes in 2017 and Democrats don't mind

Every so often you'll see a story in the #FakeNews media about how horrible it is that this or that company didn't pay any federal taxes that year.

Of course what's happening in those cases is that due to the arcane tax laws the companies have simply gamed the system in order to send fewer dollars to the Democrats in Congress to enable them to buy votes.

Interestingly as with all things leftist there are apparently two different standards vis a vis not paying any taxes.

The NYT recently condemned FedEx for not paying any taxes in 2018. That was probably a bad idea on the part of the NYT because FedEx fired back pointing out that in 2017 the NYT paid no federal taxes.

We all know now, or at least those of us who don't get all our news from the #FakeNews media, that apparently the NYT's anguish over companies that don't pay any federal taxes doesn't cover what the NYT itself does.

If the federal tax code is unfair then campaign to change it.  But it's hardly fair to condemn only conservative companies that take advantage of tax laws passed by Democrats.
