Now to be fair it is good advice to give armed thugs who are threatening you what they want.

But even if you do what thugs want you to do doesn't mean that they won't hurt you anyway.

The problem is that if the Democrats who run Minneapolis actually wanted people to be safe they'd be backing the police and taking aggressive actions against criminals.

I don't have the data for the recent past but in historical data it's Blacks who are the disproportionate victims of crime in Minneapolis.

To put the pie charts in perspective Blacks make up 18.6% of the population of Minneapolis and whites make up 63.8%--both values from the 2010 census.

These are the combined values for homicide, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault

What's clear is that Blacks are disproportionately the victims of crime.  Blacks are 16 times more likely to be murdered than whites for example.

Perhaps that's why the rich white Democrats who run Minneapolis, some of whom have used taxpayer dollars to hire private security for themselves, don't care about the rising crime wave.

What's clear is that the Democrats who run Minneapolis don't care about Blacks which isn't surprising since the officers who were involved in George Floyd's death all worked for those same rich white leftists.
