Roger Stone and Catherine Pugh: Proof Stone is being persecuted

Democrats are furious that Trump pushed to have Roger Stone's sentence reduced.

Stone was convicted of process crimes like lying to Congress. He didn't hurt anyone nor did he steal any money.  Yet radical leftist DOJ prosecutors want him sent to jail for between 87 and 108 months.

To put that in perspective the average person convicted of a violent felony, like rape, serves 72 months.  Clearly Stone is being persecuted for the sin of associating with Trump.

That became more obvious today when the sentencing recommendation for former Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh was announced.  Pugh, a Democrat, pled guilty to stealing from non-profits and the taxpayers for years.  She also lied to FBI agents.

Yet the prosecutors are only recommending 57 months in prison for her.

To be honest that seems a bit high assuming she also has to make financial restitution for the taxes she didn't pay.  But it's a whole lot less than the recommended sentence for Stone who didn't rip anyone off.

If in fact Stone is guilty, and given that we now know that the jury foreman lied about her knowledge and hatred of Stone that's no longer obviously true, no one is saying he shouldn't get any jail time.  That Democrats are demanding an insanely long sentence shows that they like using the power of government to attack their political opponents.

But of course we already knew that due to Obama's weaponization of the IRS.
