At the time the FBI knew that Steele was working for Hillary compiling opposition research about Trump. They also knew that Hillary herself was aware of what Steele was doing.
The FBI paid Steele to attend the meeting, which occurred not in England or the US but in Italy, where they illegally shared with him highly classified data; so highly classified that the IG report doesn't mention the details.
Felton points out that this is especially interesting in light of the fact that even as the FBI agents who were investigating Trump were sharing classified information about the Trump campaign with Steele, a foreign national and an employee of Hillary Clinton, they were taking every step possible to conceal the investigation from their fellow FBI agents.
For obvious reasons the FBI has mechanisms to keep investigations secret and they were all used to ensure that the FBI's clearly criminal investigation of the Trump campaign stayed secret.
It's becoming more and more clear that FBI agents in collusion with people in DOJ were actively interfering in a Presidential campaign in order to help Hillary Clinton.
That, not Trump's tweets, is the huge scandal that every reporter should be covering.
