The G-7 meeting and the big Doral lie

When I saw that Trump was going to host the G-7 summit at one of his properties I thought it was a bad idea.

The #FakeNews media jumped on it and declared that it was evil incarnate and nothing like Joe Biden's son getting millions in "salaries" from foreign countries where Joe was a key point person for US policy.

But it turns out as with all the smears against Trump this one had no basis in truth.

It turns out that Trump said that he'd eschew any profit, or if legally possible not charge the USA a red cent, which means that Trump wasn't trying to enrich himself only to provide what he, correctly or incorrectly, honestly believes was the best hotel to impress our G-7 guests.

Clearly the story that I heard and the truth were far apart.
