Purple state Democrats know it would be suicide to vote for impeachment while they ignore the issues voters care about so Pelosi isn't making them go on record as supporting impeachment.
The idea that a House speaker can just start an impeachment investigation because she feels that Hillary shouldn't have lost in 2016 is pretty scary.
But that's small potatoes compared to the fact that a tiny group of radical hyper-partisan Democrats, led by the dishonest Schiff, are conducting the impeachment hearings in secret.
Clearly there is no evidence that Trump has actually done anything wrong since if there were the Democrats would be shouting it from the rooftops. Similarly if the Ukraine call had been in any way problematic Adam Schiff wouldn't have had to lie to we the people about what was in it.
Given that we now know that Adam Schiff's staff secretly collaborated with the "whistleblower" who is the supposed justification for this impeachment hearing and that the "whistleblower" had a professional relationship with a Democrat presidential candidate it's obvious that this latest claim by the Democrats has no more basis in fact than the old "Russian collusion" claim did.
What we're seeing is Schiff dishonestly releasing quotes out of context that distort what witnesses are saying so as to make it appear they're attacking Trump when in fact their testimony supports Trump.
Schiff is also allegedly harassing witnesses that don't support his baseless theories.
Bottom line the Democrats are conducting a secret trial of Trump where they're deliberately coaching witnesses and denying Trump the right to cross examine his accusers in direct violation of the core values of American jurisprudence.
Imagine for a moment how these same Democrats would react if Speaker Ryan had conducted an impeachment investigation into Obama using the same techniques.
Or better yet imagine how the Democrats would react if Republicans held a vote on starting an impeachment investigation because of clear evidence of malfeasance on the part of a Democrat president and then held open hearings where that President could question the witnesses against him.
Oh wait you don't have to imagine that. It happened with Bill Clinton. Back then Pelosi said that impeachment was a horrible thing and that the Republicans were just playing politics despite the fact that it was clearly proven that Bill Clinton lied under oath in order to avoid losing a #MeToo lawsuit.
Other Democrats, many who are still in office today, said the same thing; sure Clinton was proven to have lied under oath to protect himself but impeachment was wrong.
That those same Democrats are today holding secret impeachment hearings proves that they are fascists at heart who don't believe that they have to follow the lawl; that they are our rulers not our representatives.
Vicious repressive regimes have secret trials. That Democrats are supporting a secret trial of the President shows that they are more comfortable with repression than with freedom.
