Blame Cuomo not Trump for the New York China virus disaster

New York state is home to about 6% of all Americans but it has 37% of the China virus deaths in the country.

Yet the media is holding up Cuomo as a genius who dealt effectively with COVID19 while attacking Trump.

While part of the problem is the fact that New York City is a horrible place to be if there's a pandemic.  The population density is the highest in the nation.  However note that Democrats want us all to live in places like New York city and Obama wanted to essentially dismantle the suburbs.

But Cuomo also was slow to respond and when he did respond he failed to do so effectively.

On March 2 Cuomo said:

This isn’t our first rodeo. We are fully coordinated, and we are fully mobilized, and we are fully prepared to deal with the situation as it develops.

He went on to assure New Yorkers that the risk "remains low".

Cuomo didn't put NY on lockdown until March 20 days after states with much lower risks like New Mexico did so.  

A former head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as a former head of New York city's Health Department, Dr. Thomas R. Frieden, has said that if the city had adopted social distancing--including shutting schools, restaurants, etc-- a week or two earlier the number of deaths might have been reduced by 50 to 80%.

We all remember Cuomo frantically demanding ventilators and the media blaming Trump.

What you probably haven't heard, unless you regularly read my blog hint hint :) , is that several years ago Cuomo could have bought more ventilators to prepare highly vulnerable New York for a pandemic but choose to use the money to bribe Democrat voters instead.

You also may not have heard that in fact New York ended up with a huge surplus of ventilators because Trump managed to get Cuomo what he asked for.

But Cuomo's failures weren't only of omission; not doing anything to prepare for or react to coronavirus.

He actively ensured that more people would die. His New York State Department of health ruled that:

No [nursing home] resident shall be denied re-admission or admission to the NH[nursing home] solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19.

Contrary to what the #FakeNews media is saying the China virus is no worse than the flu for people under 60 who don't have preexisting health conditions.  The average age of Americans who have died because China lied is 70.  

Hence the people who most desperately need to be kept away from folks who have the China virus are nursing home residents.  But Cuomo essentially forced nursing homes to take in people who had a disease that was likely to kill the rest of the nursing home's occupants.

I seriously doubt that Cuomo was trying to enforce the beliefs of Joe Biden's China virus advisor who says that everyone over 75 should die but Cuomo's action was a colossal blunder; far worse than any mistake Trump has made.

While it wasn't Cuomo's decision to reduce the number of trains running in the NYC subway he didn't, to my knowledge, condemn or countermand it.

But we know that by increasing the passenger density compared to what it would have been if the normal schedule had been retained helped spread the virus.

The way that Cuomo is being treated vs how Trump is being treated is one more example of how the #FakeNews media and Democrats will lie to you to try and blame Trump for the consequences of Democrat policies.
