Obama is saying that the rule of law is at risk.
Oddly when he ignored the Constitution to implement DACA he didn't think the rule of law was at risk. We know he ignored the Constitution because he said so; prior to issuing his DACA mandate he'd said on multiple occasions that he didn't have the power to do so.
What shows Obama's fascist and tyrannical nature is his belief that overturning the politically based persecution of General Flynn, an effort that he may have started, is bad.
Here is a short list of some of the problems with the persecution...err prosecution of General Flynn:
- It turns out in the FBI notes of the meeting say that Flynn didn't say that he hadn't talked about sanctions with the Russian Ambassador. He said that he didn't recall doing so but he could have. Despite knowing that the FBI/DOJ prosecuted Flynn for "lying" about what he said to the Russian
- The DOJ prosecutor deliberately withheld evidence that showed that Flynn was innocent from both Flynn and the courts; that's illegal
- The DOJ prosecutor bankrupted Flynn by forcing him to pay lawyers to defend himself against a charge that the prosecutor knew, see the FBI notes above, wasn't true
- The DOJ prosecutor threatened to prosecute, bankrupt, and imprison Flynn's son if Flynn didn't plead guilty
- The DOJ hid that threat from the court which is not acceptable
- The FBI rewrote the report of the agents who interviewed Flynn which is a huge no no since it distorts what the agents actually said
What Obama is saying is all of these egregious violations of the rule of law are ok so long as they are directed against one of his political opponents.
Of course we also now know that Obama himself knew about the details of Flynn's conversation with the Russian Ambassador. Let that sink in. A Democrat President effectively listened in to a conversation between an incoming Trump official and a foreign government. He had no reason to do so other than to collect information to help start the whole Russia collusion lie.
What did Flynn say that allegedly justified Obama personally spying on the opposition party?
Flynn asked Russia to not retaliate for sanctions that Obama had put on Russia. Flynn didn't offer any quid pro quo nor did he say that if the Russians did that the sanctions would be dropped. Hence Flynn was doing what anyone who puts America first would do; convince the Russians to not try and hurt the US.
Yet Obama and his clique found that to be a bad thing.
Given that in 2012 Obama told Putin he'd return the favor if Putin helped get Obama elected, by avoiding any confrontations with the US during the campaign, and that Obama delivered, eliminating a missile defense system that Putin didn't like, it seems like a rather hypocritical thing for Obama to be bothered by Flynn asking, without offering anything in return, the Russians to not retaliate.
Further Trump has actually been much harder on Russia than Obama ever was.
