A great contemporary example of that is the use by the pro-abortion left of the term "fetus" for an unborn child. They use that language to dehumanize the unborn.
Of course fetus is a term for a stage in human development just like "teenager", "toddler" or "baby" but the pro-abortion movement pretends that it means that the unborn are somehow not human even though they have human DNA.
Rejecting the humanity of the unborn is as wrong as saying that the sun orbits the earth.
But the depths of the #FakeNews media's hypocrisy was recently revealed as an indirect result of the China virus pandemic.
On April 27 Reuters ran an article headlined “Piglets aborted, chickens gassed as pandemic slams meat sector.”
The article refers to the aborted pigs as "piglets" or "baby pigs". The problem is that Reuters' own style guide says:
“Unless quoting someone, refer to aborted foetuses rather than unborn babies,”
So Reuters call's unborn pigs baby pigs but it refuses to call unborn human beings unborn babies.
How that's evil. It's not that there isn't a term for an unborn pig that corresponds to foetus; there is, fetal pig.
The story also talked about "killing" the unborn pigs not "terminating" them.
What's most disturbing is that many stories in the #FakeNews media bemoaned the aborting of pigs. It's apparently ok to kill human babies but pigs; no that's a different matter according to pro-aborts.
Further the animal rights activists were treated with a great deal more sympathy than pro-life people usually are.
It's clear that the left in America needs abortion in order to ensure that women can be sexually exploited as objects to be used rather than people to be loved and that if that means that we have to murder around 1,000,000 innocent people every year they don't mind.
