While dealing with coronavirus Trump still has time to keep Iran in check

After an Iranian backed missile attack on a base in Iraq killed two Americans and a Brit the US retaliated killing General Siamand Mashhadani a top official in the Iranian Revolutionary guard.

When pondering this and the killing of Soleimani it's important to understand that just like Democrats in America are eager for a recession or lots of people dying from COVID 19 because that might help them get more power tyrants everywhere, including Iran, don't care if their people suffer or die.

What tyrants care about is their own skins and the well being of themselves and their families.

Hence killing 1000 Iranian backed terrorists has effectively zero deterrent force but killing one of the Iranian elites can cause Iran to stand down for quite some time.

The simple reality is that until a country is complete conquered the ruling elites suffer little.  Until the US liberated Iraq Saddam Hussain lived high on the hog even though his people were suffering tremendously under the various embargoes.

Similarly US strikes on Iranian terrorist forces caused the ruling elites of Iran absolutely no suffering and hence didn't act as a deterrent.

Of course if Democrats had their way we'd make Iran, you know the country that calls us the "Great Satan", our best bud in the Middle East while abandoning Israel to the tender mercies of Islamic terrorists.

One more reason why we need to keep Democrats out of power.
