Washington Post fact checking: Joe Biden doesn't mean what he says

In the last debate Joe Biden didn't want to lose any of the looney left voters to Bernie so Joe said that he too opposes any new fracking.

But apparently he was lying, or having a "senior" moment, because his campaign and he have said in the past that he only opposes any new fracking on government owned land.

However the WaPo "fact checkers" came to his rescue by saying that Joe was just "inaccurate" in what he said.

Of course it's common practice for "fact checkers" to declare Trump to be lying even when he gets his facts straight because they disagree with how Trump interprets those facts.

The WaPo wrote:

"Critics pounced," the fact-checker wrote. "Republican operatives cut a short video of Biden’s remarks, to use as a cudgel in races against moderate House Democrats. Sanders supporters accused Biden of misleading voters about his policy, which doesn’t ban fracking outright, as Sanders would."

So critics pounced by assuming that Biden wasn't lying and that he was changing his policy. Odd.

To be fair it's clear that Biden is having some cognitive issues these days so it's quite possible that he wasn't in fact lying, just confused.

On the other hand since his reply was what he needed to say to fend off an attack by Bernie on an issue critical to the radical left that runs the Democrat party these days Biden had strong incentive to lie.

In either case Joe's response is one more reason that he shouldn't be president; either he's willing to lie to us to get elected or he's not even able to remember his own positions on the issues.
