We have a ruling class that lords it over us: government workers never get laid off edition

While millions of Americans face the loss of their jobs our "betters" who work for the government know that they will continue not only to have jobs but to be paid.

This is more evidence for the existence of a ruling class in America made up of rich coastal elites and government workers.

Here are two plots that show just how much better paid government workers are than those of us who pay their salaries:

Now the elites tell us that that's fine since government workers have to be smarter than people working in the private sector.  But since most government workers are nothing more than paper pushers that's ridiculous.

But even ignoring that our federal bureaucratic overlords are paid more than we are they also have another advantage that we don't; they never lose their jobs.

A VA official was fired for putting patients at risk. He was rehired because the civil service board said that he should be paid until his appeal was heard.  Can you imagine having that sort of job security?  You can literally risk killing people and still keep your job.

Is it any wonder that the millions of federal government workers, which doesn't include members of the military, are staunchly elitist?  Is it surprising that they rule over us following the tenants of the rich coastal elites where they often come from.

No wonder that they and the rest of the coastal elites think that working at home is a viable thing.  They never think about the millions of Americans who can't work at home; contractors, restaurant workers, truck drivers, small business owners, etc. Because government workers can work at home and know that they can't be fired they have no idea what the average American is going through today.
