Today Chuck Schumer said the following outside the Supreme Court:
I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you, if you go forward with these awful decisions.
That's a clear and unambiguous threat by a man who hopes to be the leader of the Senate in 2021.
Can you imagine the outcry if Ted Cruz said the exact same words in the exact same place but replaced Kavanaugh with Ginsberg and Gorsuch with Sotomayor?
This is the sort of political thuggery that one sees in Third World tyrannies not America.
It's important to note that Schumer didn't say that the judges would making a bad ruling or that they should feel bad about themselves; Schumer said that they will be "hit". That's a direct and unequivocal threat. Just like a Mafia Don would give to a cop who crossed him.
Even Justice Roberts thought that Schumer's actions were unconscionable. In a rare public rebuke by a Chief Justice Roberts wrote:
But in response Schumer, through a spokesperson, doubled down. He claimed that Roberts was accepting the "right wing's deliberate misinterpretation" of what Schumer had said. Despite the fact that Schumer cited Kavanaugh and Gorsuch by name his spokesman said that Schumer was talking about Republican lawmakers.
You're a smart person. It's extraordinarily unlikely that you can find anyway to interpret what Schumer said other than a direct threat against judges who dare to not follow the Democrat party line.
Schumer, through his spokesman, went on to compare what Schumer said to what Trump said about Sotomayor and Ginsburg last week. But if you read what Trump tweeted it's clear there is no comparison.

Second Trump is merely saying that if Sotomayor and Ginsburg--who publicly attacked Trump during the 2016 campaign--are biased that they should recuse themselves from cases involving him.
That's not a threat. Saying that judges "won't know what hit you" is a threat.
Trump's response was reasonable and as usual these days it's Trump whose the adult in the room:

If Democrats don't force Schumer to step down from his role as Democrat leader in the Senate we'll all know that they endorse his threats. That they endorse the use of intimidation to get the Supreme Court to rule the way they want.
Amazingly leftists may at least say that what Schumer did was bad while still ensuring that Schumer won't have to pay a price.

Of course Tribe is clearly trying to act as though it was just a slip of the tongue by Schumer. Tribe won't admit to the obvious truth that this is who Schumer is.
What's also amazing is what this court case is about. Because abortions can result in serious side effects, especially given that many abortionists are just out to make a quick buck, the state of Louisiana requires doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at a hospital so that in case of a problem the woman can be taken care of properly.
But Schumer is attacking Kavanaugh and Gorsuch because he thinks that they may say that yes we need to ensure that abortion is safe for women.
According to Schumer wanting to ensure that a woman who has a serious problem during an abortion will get the care she needs is "waging a war on women".
Abortion is a surgical procedure and saying that the surgeon should be able to admit the woman to a hospital and take care of her there if complications arise is what every American should expect.
That Democrats and abortionists are fighting this tooth and nail tells you a lot. First the sort of "Doctors" who do abortions often have serious issues which preclude hospitals from giving them admitting privileges.
Second they care more about the baby being killed and the abortionist making money than they do about the health and safety of the mother.
Third given that Blacks abort at 3 times the rate that white women that means that a disproportionate share of the women who suffer if the abortionist doesn't have admitting privileges would be poor Black women--rich white women can afford an abortionist who has admitting privileges. Given the generally racist attitude of Democrat politicians--who say nothing about the thousands of Blacks who are shot in Democrat run cities each year--it's unclear if they view it as a feature or if they simply don't care because it's Black women who will die.
To summarize the leading Democrat Senator has threatened Supreme Court justices if they require abortionists to be able to provide good medical care to the women they operate on.
