They read a tweet that said that Bloomberg spent $500M on ads and that because the US population is 327 million that meant that Bloomberg could have given every American $1M.
They were bothered by that. Not because the math was off by about a factor of a 653,594 but because they though it was true.

This explains why the #FakeNews media has no problem with all the Democrat's massive spending plans; reporters simply are so math illiterate that they don't understand just how much money that we don't have that Democrat politicians want to spend.
It's like a guy on welfare buying a $100,000 car because he thinks it costs 15 cents.
