Chicago Democrats protect child rapists if they're illegal aliens

An illegal alien, who has been convicted of several felonies while in the US, was arrested for sexually assaulting a 3 year old girl.

He was able to do so because when the Chicago police released him from jail they refused to tell ICE.

If ICE had known the perpetrator would have been deported and wouldn't have been able to assault that little girl.

This is the big lie about Sanctuary cities; the only people that sanctuary cities protect are those who commit serious non-immigration related crimes once they're in America.

Unless an illegal alien ends up in jail, which means they did something serious not speed or run a red light, they don't benefit from cities not telling ICE about illegal aliens that the cities are releasing from jail.

In response to this horror story the Democrat Mayor of Chicago defended the cities actions saying:

“they’re critical because we have said very clearly we are a welcoming city, a sanctuary city. Chicago Police Department will not cooperate with ICE on any immigration-related business. And that’s affected their ability to conduct immigration raids across the city. But that’s exactly our intention. We have to make sure our police department is seen as a legitimate force in all our communities.”

How is allowing criminals who are also illegal aliens stay in America to prey on Americans and other illegal aliens in anyone's interest?

Note that ICE is not asking for cops to report anyone they come across who happens to look like they might be illegal.  The Mayor of Chicago is saying that illegal aliens who commit serious crimes and who ICE has issued a detainer for will be allowed back on the streets of Chicago to rape little girls.

Apparently ensuring that illegal aliens can stay and prey on Chicagoans is more important than actually protecting the people of Chicago.

Of course given that in her city thousands of Blacks are shot year after year and she does nothing useful about it is also strong evidence that the people of Chicago aren't her first priority.

The Chicago Police Department's statement is equally insane:

“The Chicago Police Department remains committed to protecting all Chicago residents regardless of their immigration status. Our pledge to restrict ICE access to our information systems and our refusal to cooperate with ICE immigration enforcement measures has not changed.”

How is releasing hardened criminals who go on to assault children "protecting all Chicago residents"? The only people the mayor and the Chicago PD are protecting are criminals.
