The VA shows us how horrible the Democrat health reforms would be

The Veterans Administration(VA) is government run health care-- like the Medicare for all and single payer plans Democrats are proposing-- for veterans.

You've probably heard the stories about veterans dying because the VA didn't help them when they needed it.

You've also probably heard about how VA bureaucrats hid the real waiting lists to conceal the fact that veterans weren't getting treated.

You've probably also heard how a VA official who was fired for corruption was rehired because a civil service board said he had to be.  Or about how a court has ruled that the VA has to review the firing of a hospital director who was terminated because of a scandal related to lying about the real times veterans had to wait to get care.  Clearly VA officials, even after a special law was passed by Congress to make it easier to remove incompetent or criminal VA officials, enjoy much greater job security than we the people and hence are less likely to care if their patients live or die.

All of those show you what to expect if Democrats get their way and the functional equivalent of the DMV runs your health care.

Now there's a new example of the horrors of government run health care.

The VA has a list of "disgruntled" veterans.  The brave men and women on that list are supposedly a threat to the safety of VA employees or to the VA's ability to deliver health care to veterans.

We all know that war is hell and that some veterans, just like some non-veterans, can be violent.  No one would object to the VA having a list of veterans who punched or threatened to physically attack VA employees.

The problem is that a veteran can get on the list by venting frustration about long VA wait times, threatening lawsuits, or threatening to have people fired none of which are actually violent.

Essentially the bureaucrats have made a list of people who criticize them.

People on that list have their ability to healthcare restricted; they can't go to all VA offices only certain ones for example.

Extrapolating this to the Democrat health plans it's not unreasonable to expect that Republicans who would critique the new socialist medical system would be directly targeted and given lower quality health care than illegal immigrants who are happy because even low quality care is better than what they'd get in their homelands and they aren't paying for it.

But that's the modern Democrat party's positions in a nut shell; prioritizing illegal immigrants over American citizens.
