We are slaves to the Supreme Court: Census edition

A 5 to 4 majority of the Supreme Court ruled that it is entirely legal to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census. Given that the question has been on the census in the past that was a no brainer but given the decisions the Court has made in the past we can't count on it to get even no brainers right.

However then Justice Roberts, the same Justice who turned fees into taxes to save Obamacare, said that it's unclear if the reasoning used to decide to add the citizenship question in was valid.  He used that insanity to effectively bar the question from the census by throwing the case back to the lower court by siding with the 4 always dishonest judges.

As the honest judges pointed out declaring that a legal action can become illegal because of the thought process used to arrive at it is outside of traditional American law.  It's the reasoning that led a lower court to declare that one of Trump's executive orders was illegal while admitting that if Hillary had been elected and issued the same executive order it would have been legal.

That clearly is fascist reasoning that denies the authority of we the people to elect representatives to decide our laws. That sort of reasoning is ideal for setting up a two track legal system where any action by people who dishonest judges don't like is declared illegal because of those "bad" people's incorrect thoughts while any action by people dishonest judges go like only has to be legal.

It will be interesting to see what Trump does.  The problem is that supposedly the census forms have to be printed starting on July 1.  While the government is slow perhaps some way can be found to delay that.

Or perhaps Trump can pull an Obama and simply delay the census due to Supreme Court meddling.  While he wouldn't officially say he's doing so he could just create a schedule showing the census being completed at midnight on December 31 2020 and if the government fails to meet it he can let the Democrats sue him; which they will do anyway.

Some people say that if we begin doing things like that we're as bad as the leftists but the problem is that we don't have the majority of judges like the leftists do.  We're in a war and if we decide to use knives while leftists use shotguns we're going to end up as serfs.
