After all the last slaves and slave owners died decades ago.
It turns out that reparations are, in the minds of the left, for anyone whose skin is black. On Twitter a leftist told me that a Black man who came over from Haiti a few years ago is owed reparations for the discrimination he faced in the US.
That same leftists said that the descendants of the men who died ending slavery should pay for those reparations.
My mom was denied a job in the 1930s because she was Catholic. I wouldn't ask for reparations but under the "logic" modern fans of reparations are using she's due payment.
The reality is that Democrats are trying to buy the Black vote by simply saying we'll pass a bill that will give every Black American money. It's a bribe pure and simple and has nothing to do with trying to make up for slavery. After all it's the Democrats who fought a war to keep slavery equal so if the issue was fairness Democrats would be donating their own money to compensate Blacks. But they aren't; they want to use your money.
That Democrats think this is necessary is a sign that Blacks in America are starting to realize, despite the fact that they're constantly lied to by the public school system and the #FakeNews media, that after giving the Democrats their votes for more than 70 years their situation in America hasn't improved and in fact has gotten worse.
Democrats demonstrate their racism every day in many ways. They ignore the shooting of thousands of Blacks in Democrat run cities, they viciously attack any Black--like Justice Thomas--who dares disagree with leftist orthodoxy, they applaud Planned Parenthood which was founded by a racist and which targets Blacks for abortions, they don't care that abortion is the leading cause of death for Blacks in America, and they refuse to allow inner city Blacks to get a decent education saying doing so would be racist.
It's the Chicago way. Use other peoples money to buy votes and cover up your own corruption.
