Democrats oppose everything Trump does: Painting Air Force 1 edition

President Trump wants the new Air Force One, the plane the president flies on, to have a new bolder more American paint scheme.

Because the planes won't be delivered until 2024 Trump will never fly on them so there's no way that Trump's decision will benefit him.

Democrats are bothered.

One Democrat says that the weight of the paint could be a problem.  While it's true on some amazingly exotic planes like the U2 the weight of paint is an issue; which is one of the reasons that the US is bare metal.

However given that  AF 1 currently has no bare metal changing the color will have no impact on the weight of the plane.  In any case the Boeing 747 has a great deal of weight margin so that even if the paint did add a little weight it wouldn't be a big deal.

The reality is that some Democrats are objecting because they'd object if he said he wanted to create a new day of remembrance for the Holocaust.

Because the Democrats hate Trump they will attack anything he does no matter how good it might be.
