Texas city declares itself a sanctuary for the unborn; outlaws abortion

Leftists are constantly telling us that cities and states have the right to unilaterally ignore federal laws that they don't like.  Generally this is related to immigration laws but leftists are also ok with local governments ignoring the 1st and 2nd Amendments.

Finally someone on the right has decided that two can play by those rules.

The city of Waskom Texas has declared that abortion is illegal in Waskom and any organization that provides abortions will be considered a criminal enterprise.

It will be interesting to see how the #FakeNews media tries to square the circle on this by declaring that disobeying laws that leftists don't like is ok but disobeying laws that leftists do like is wrong.

For too long too many conservatives have allowed there to be two sets of rules; one for the left and one for the rest of us. Leftists can call conservatives homophobes, racists, Nazi's, antisemites, etc with impunity while Trump is berated for pointing out that the #FakeNews media is the enemy of hte people.

The left would use law suits and dishonest judges to cripple Republican presidents and Congress while Republicans wouldn't retaliate in kind.

To most of us in fly over country it appeared that the Republican establishment talked a good game but acted as a bunch of wimps when confronted by leftists.

One of the reasons that Trump is so popular is that he's willing to strike back. The left lies about Trump and Trump hits them back by pointing out the truth. The left hates that because people, if given the truth, will never support leftists policies.

Let's hope we see more of this.  If the left continues to reject the rule of law by refusing to enforce laws they don't like the right should respond in kind.  Let's see if the left will be willing to continue to behave in a lawless way if there is a cost for doing so.
