The left rejects the rule of law: Virginia prosecutors edition

Two left wing prosecutors were elected in North Virginia due in large part to huge donations by the Soros foundation.

One of the left wing winners, Dehghani-Tafti, tweeted:

"This election wasn’t about me but about the community’s recognition that criminal justice reform is one of the civil rights issues of our time."

The problem is that prosecutors are supposed to enforce the law by prosecuting those who break it. They are not supposed to reform the criminal justice system; that's the legislature's job.

But as we saw with DACA a leftist with a pen and a phone can remold the law by refusing to enforce the parts of it that they don't like.  Democrat prosecutors are apparently comfortable with picking and choosing which laws to enforce.

In general the left has a great deal of sympathy for criminals and a magically missing concern for victims; unless of course those victims serve the left's cause.

For example thousands of Blacks are shot in Chicago each year and Democrats ignore them. But when it appeared that a white guy, who was actually Hispanic, may have unlawfully shot a Black man the entire left rose up for months in support of the "victim". Even after it was proven that the Black man was the aggressor, he attacked the Hispanic who defended himself, the left supported the Black man.

The left loves criminals and does all it can to ensure that they get as little prison time as possible.  Remember it was leftist Supreme Court judges who came up with all the technicalities that allow criminals, including child rapists and murderers, to walk free.  And remember too that leftists in general support the idea that if a court clerk types the wrong date on a search warrant the dead body of a child the police find during their search can't be used to convict the man who murdered her.

On the other hand the left in general, with some exceptions, has no problem with Manafort being put in solitary confinement because he's their enemy.

The reality is that Democrat politicians these days are fascists.  They believe the law is a tool they can use to protect themselves--Hillary can mishandle classified data with no consequences--and to attack their enemies--Flynn can be bankrupted for supposedly lying to the FBI during a conversation.

The dirty secret about the thousands of Blacks shot in Chicago each year is that the gangs who do most of the shootings bring out the vote for Democrats who are running for office.  The shootings aren't being stopped because the gangs are allied with the Democrats.

But that's what fascists do; they use armed thugs, like Antifa or criminal gangs, to win and retain power.
