US District Judge Alison Nathan wrote:
"The manifold problems that have arisen throughout this prosecution — and that may well have gone undetected in countless others — cry out for a coordinated, systemic response from the highest level of leadership within the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York,"She was referring to a case where she accused the organization of "disclosure failures", "misstatements", and "sweeping the Government's repeated failures under the rug".
Among the specific problems was that in direct violation of the Brady rule the office failed to disclose to the defendant evidence that showed that would have bolstered his defense. The judge said:
Nathan noted that the prosecutors provided plausible explanations for some late disclosures, no explanation at all for others, and when she pressed the prosecutors, they "made a misrepresentation to her court."
Basically the office denied the defendant due process and then lied to the court about it.
This is significant because this same office has been on a vendetta to get President Trump demanding his tax records even though they have 0 evidence that he has committed any crime.
The 4th Amendment requires the government to have some evidence of a crime before being able to access people's private information which makes sense since otherwise the government could go through all your private data without a warrant.
Yet Democrats and their enablers in the Deep State act as though they have the right to go through all of Trump's private records even though they have absolutely no evidence that hi has in fact done anything wrong.
Clearly the dishonest nature of the Southern District is a key reason why any attack on Trump from there has to be presumed to be false until proven otherwise.
