Billionaire governor Prizker's ban on indoor dining in Illinois is going to destroy the restaurant industry and he doesn't care.
You can't eat outside in Chicago in the fall or winter; one year it was so cold that Brookfield Zoo said that the polar bears were staying inside because it was too cold outside.
Hence if Prizker has his way restaurants will go out of business because few if any have the cash reserves to last 6 months with no income. Tens of thousands of people will probably lose their jobs.
And the ban will do no good. The reality is that unless only over 50 or who have a serious health condition need to be any more concerned with the China virus than they are by the flu.
Let those people avoid restaurants. There's no reason for young people to do so. Especially since restaurants have invested huge amounts of money in air filtration systems and other sanitizing systems to minimize the risk.
But no ultra rich Prizker doesn't want we peons to decide what level of risk we're willing to take; he knows what's best for all of us.
There is no evidence that restaurants are key sources where COVID19 spreads but science apparently doesn't matter to Prizker or the other Democrat's who simultaneously tighten the screws on daily life while applauding massive riots and protests where social distancing and mask wearing are ignored.
