One of the ways that Democrats use to "prove" that society is systemically racist is by saying that anytime Black aren't proportionally represented in any field it has to be due to racism.
Blacks make up about 13% of the population. If a college has less than 13% Black students Democrats say that's due to racism. If less than 13% of CEOs are Black it has to be racism.
So let's apply that reasoning to the Notorious Ruth Bader Ginsberg.
Over her 27 years on the Supreme Court she hired 150 clerks. Only 1, or 0.7%, of those clerks is Black.
Cleary by the Democrat standard RBG is a rabid racist.
But is she?
We can't tell from these numbers because we have no idea how many Blacks applied to her for a clerkship.
Let's say that 1500 people applied for those 150 openings and 10 of them were Black. The acceptance rate would be 1 in 10 so 1 Black would be perfectly reasonable.
Of course if of the 1500 applicants 300 were Black then one might say there's a possibility but even then it's not proof of racism unless those 300 were just as qualified as the other 1200 non-Black candidates.
While Blacks in general are as competent as whites we can't know that the quality of people who applied to RBG were equal. Perhaps the better qualified Blacks all applied to Justice Thomas.
The bottom line is that the rule that Democrats use to "prove" that society is racist also "proves" that RBG was racist a conclusion that those Democrats would reject.
Essentially the Democrats are admitting to either a double standard or to using a metric that they know is wrong.

Right but the racism can always be at a layer down. What fraction of law school graduates in 1993 were Black? Further most liberals admit that "everyone's a little bit racist sometimes". The question is one of degree and whether you take steps to address it when it's pointed out.
Trump has been called a misogynist many times and yet he has done little to address it. His administration includes far fewer women than Obama's. Hell he hired a VP that won't take meetings alone with women. And of course Trump actively opposes the ERA.
Yes most leftists are racists.
That's why they don't care about thousands of Blacks shot in Democrat run cities each year.
That's why they oppose school choice for poor Black kids in failing inner city public schools.
But most Americans aren't leftist or racist.
Women opposed the ERA because it would mean, among other things, drafting women into combat and making special accommodations for women, like maternity leave, illegal.
So can you please cite proof that every racial disparity is due to racism? Because if you can't you're not addressing my point.
Obama was called a tyrant many times so? That leftists hurl insults at Trump doesn't mean that those insults are true.
And there you go attacking Trump because you think there are too few women according to the numbers but you can't show that there was any form of discrimination; you just assume that.
Men who won't meet alone with women are the good guys.
Given Biden's sexual harassment of 8 women I'd think that you would avoid talking about Trump not hiring enough women.
> Women opposed the ERA because it would mean, among other things, drafting women into combat and making special accommodations for women, like maternity leave, illegal.
Uhm, bad news. Drafting women is already a thing without the ERA and womens' groups back it. And it would certainly not make maternity leave illegal (but if the ERA made paternity leave mandatory I would cheer).
> Men who won't meet alone with women are the good guys.
Nope. This reduces women's ability to advance. If you can never get a one-on-one meeting with the boss you will have a harder time getting a promotion.
> Given Biden's sexual harassment of 8 women I'd think that you would avoid talking about Trump not hiring enough women.
Given Trump's history of similar allegations and paying off people I don't see how you bring this up at all.
> But most Americans aren't leftist or racist.
As I said implicit bias is everywhere. Everyone's a little bit racist.
> So can you please cite proof that every racial disparity is due to racism? Because if you can't you're not addressing my point.
Ah, yes I must prove literally all disparities are racism. That is a fair bar for this argument. But if they aren't due to racism I ask you what are they caused by?
