CNN says that the CIA is above the law; someone call Frank Church

Back in 1975 the Church committee, otherwise known as the United States Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities, led by Democrat Frank Church investigated the CIA, NSA, IRS, and FBI for abuses.

There was a corresponding committee in the House led by Democrat Otis Pike.

The investigations found serious abuses by the Intelligence Community(IC) involving spying on US citizens without an sort of warrant.

The committees also released information that was damaging to US security related to some covert operations conducted by the CIA.

If one reads what leftists have been saying since then it's clear that they hate the CIA with a passion. They constantly accuse it of every sort of evil including lying about the evidence that Iraq had WMDs prior to the Iraq war.

But suddenly in 2016 the left started a love affair with the CIA. Odds are it was because the CIA and its former leadership was actively working to nullify the 2016 election and get Trump impeached.

Now according to CNN it's evil to investigate the CIA for having abused its power:

DON LEMON: You know this New York Times report mentioned that the Justice Department is now questioning CIA officers as they review this Russia investigation, which is?
SHIMON PROKUPECZ: It’s troubling because it’s not — you don’t do this. The CIA kind of operates in their own world. And for the Department of Justice to start begin questioning CIA agents, people who work there, questioning their work.
So now that top level people at the CIA, not the rank and file, may have abused their power to help Hillary and overturn an election we're suddenly not supposed to look into what the CIA has done?
Just one more example of how leftists morality is defined by one question; does this action help us get more power or does it keep us from getting more power?  Anything that helps the left is good and anything that hurts the left is bad.
