The House declares that Iranian terrorism should go unpunished

In a non-binding resolution the Democrats in the House, and 3 Republicans, declared that Trump should:

"...terminate the use of United States Armed Forces to engage in hostilities in or against Iran” unless Congress declares war or enacts “specific statutory authorization” for the use of armed forces."

What would that mean if it were binding?

It would mean that if Iran continued to kill Americans Trump couldn't retaliate in any way unless he could convince the Democrat majority in the House, you know the ones who objected to killing Soleimani and who supported Obama giving Iran $150 billion, that Iran should be punished for terrorism.

With Democrat presidential candidates blaming Trump for killing Soleimani but not Soleimani for killing Americans the odds of Trump being able to hold Iran responsible for anything short of another 9/11 are slim to none.

More importantly the clear perception that the Iranians would get would be that they had a free hand; that America is a paper tiger and that America wouldn't retaliate if Iran returned to killing Americans.  Which of course would greatly increase the chances that Iran would resume butchering Americans.

That the Democrats don't care about that tells us all we need to know about where their loyalties lie. They don't care about you they only care about getting more power over you.

What about those 3 Republicans.  Well they voted for the resolution not out of hatred of Trump but about trying to restore our government to what the Constitution envisioned it should be; no wars without Congressional approval.

The problem is that despite the lies that the #FakeNews media and Democrats are telling the US killing Soleimani and even possible strikes against Iranian military sites is no more a war than the ongoing support of terrorism that kills Americans is a war.

Putting it another way if the sort of tit for tat retaliation that Trump has talked about is war then the on-going Iranian support for terrorism that kills Americans is also war.

Hence don't let Democrats declare that Trump's limited attacks are war while they simultaneously say that Iran's killing of Americans isn't war; a contradiction that Democrats must hold to if they are to continue to condemn Trump for fighting back while absolving Soleimani of any culpable guilt.

The 3 Republicans are however making a good point. We as a country need to figure out how we deal with the sub war style of aggression that countries like Iran are conducting against the US.  The dishonesty of Democrats makes it effectively impossible to require the Congress to approve of actions by Trump so how do we keep dishonest American politicians from protecting foreign terrorists?
