CNN analyst lies about Senate Republicans says that's ok

CNN political analyst Joe Lockhart pulled a "Schiff" and posted a supposed conversation by Senate Republicans that didn't actually happen; just as Democrat Adam Schiff made up things that Trump supposedly said and pretended that they were what Trump had said.

Overheard convo between two Republican Senators who only watch Fox News. "is this stuff real? I haven't heard any of this before. I thought it was all about a server. If half the stuff Schiff is saying is true, we're up shit's creek. Hope the White House has exculpatory evidence

He later admitted that he made it up but it got 37K likes and 9k retweets so a lot of Democrat voters are going to have been fooled.

This is how the #FakeNews media works. They lie and lie and lie if it helps Democrats and they lie and lie and lie if it hurts Republicans.

This is why it's the #FakeNews media that's the threat to Freedom of the Press not Trump pointing out how the #FakeNews media lies.  When people lose all trust in the media then they can never know the truth and without the truth they can't vote intelligently.  As the brave Facebook executive said a lied to people can't have a democracy since they don't know what they're really voting for.

Any reputable news agency would fire Lockhart in a flash but it's pretty safe to assume that the only "punishment" he'll get is slaps on the back and high fives by his CNN coworkers.
