Comey deliberately tried to mislead Trump

We now have clear irrefutable proof that James Comey was deliberately trying to attack Trump.

Buried in the bowels of the 476 page long IG report on the coup attempt is this email sent by Comey:

I just had a chance to review the proposed talking points on this for today. Perhaps it is a nit, but I worry that it may not be best to say “The IC has not made any judgment that the information in the document is reliable.”

I say that because we HAVE concluded that the source [Steele] is reliable and has a track record with us of reporting reliable information; we have some visibility into his source network, some of which we have determined to be sub-sources in a position to report on such things; and much of what he reports in the current document is consistent with and corroborative of other reporting included in the body of the main IC report.

That said, we are not able to sufficiently corroborate the reporting to include in the body of the [ICA] report. That all rings in my ears as more complicated than “we have not made a judgment that the information in the document is reliable.”

It might be better to say that “we have not be [sic] able to sufficiently corroborate the information to include it in the body of our Russia report but, for a variety of reasons, we thought it important to include it in our report to our senior-most audience.”

The email was sent to Clapper who was proposing that the Intelligence Community(IC) say:

"“[t]he IC [Intelligence Community] has not made any judgment that the information in [the Steele election reporting] is reliable.”

It's obvious that Comey was trying to do everything possible to pretend that a dossier that he knew couldn't be corroborated be portrayed as being accurate.

Clearly that's bias.  Steele wasn't reliable, the FBI fired him for lying to them, and we now know that he actually was paid by at least one Russian oligarch to lobby for him in the US.

Think of it this way if the CIA had declared that Iraq had WMDs based solely on one report by one source with no corroborating information every Democrat who is declaring that Comey is a saint would have, correctly, screamed bloody murder.

The real reason that Comey briefed the dossier to Trump was to provide a hook to justify the media publishing the dossier as though it were true.

Prior to Comey briefing Trump no #FakeNews media outlet would publish it because it was completely uncorroborated--and it contained at least one obvious error.

Given that the job of the FBI/IC is to vet intelligence not simply feed raw data to the President and given that no outlet was running with the dossier it's clear that Comey's intent wasn't to inform the President but to set Trump up.
