Democrat hypocrisy on firing IG's; Obama fired an IG who showed that an Obama supporter was corrupt

Back in 2009 Obama fired IG Gerald Walpin after Walpin showed that a nonprofit education organization led by Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson misused federal funds.

Johnson is a former NBA star and a big supporter of Obama.

The organization, Hope Academy, had to pay back over $400,000 of taxpayer dollars.

Among the illegal activities were using your money to engage in school board political issues, run personal errands for Johnson, and wash his car.

That's precisely why the IG exists; to find people who illegally misuse your hard earned tax dollars.

But Obama said the following when explaining why he fired Walpin:

"It is vital that I have the fullest confidence in the appointees serving as inspectors general," Obama said in a letter Thursday to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Vice President Joe Biden, who also serves as president of the Senate. "That is no longer the case with regard to this inspector general."
Neither Obama nor the White House provided specific reasons for why Walpin should be fired in violation of the law that says that Congress must be informed of the reasons for firing an IG.

Keep this in mind now that Democrats and the #FakeNews media are howling about Trump firing the IG who started the whole Ukraine impeachment/coup rolling.

Michael Atkinson violated procedures to forward a claim, based only on rumors, that Trump had a quid pro quo with Ukraine for military aid.

He hid the fact that the "whistleblower" was a personal friend of Biden who had worked closely with Biden on Ukraine policy and who hence was incredibly biased.

Further the rules were that an IG could do what Atkinson did if and only if there is an immediate threat which wasn't the case.

Clearly the IG acted out of malice as part of the Deep State attempt to undo the 2016 election and nullify the votes of all Americans.

Once again we see that Democrats support any sort of vile behavior if it advances their quest to gain more power while condemning any attempts to root out Democrat corruption.
