NYT hates Christians; Pompeo edition

The NYT is attacking Secretary of State Mike Pompeo because he's said that the Bible informs his actions.  Given that all of Obama's secretaries of State's actions were informed by their personal moral beliefs this should not be a big deal.

The problem is that the NYT is saying that some personal beliefs are ok and others, mostly religious ones aren't.

This is just part of the left's attack on Christianity.  For decades they've been doing everything they can to make people of faith second class citizens; teachers can extoll to their students the wonders of Nietzsche's atheism but they can't even mention Jesus as a historical figure.

We've seen Democrat Senators like Feinstein declare that the fact that a candidate for a judgeship is Catholic is inappropriate despite the very clear statement in the Constitution that says that there will be no religious test for office.

We've also seen that Democrats don't mind if people of faith are informed by their faith so long as they're supporting Democrat causes.  Essentially what the left is doing is saying that whatever the left believes today is normative and that any religion that endorses that is ok while all other religions must be condemned.

On the plus side if the NYT is unbiased we should soon be seeing a condemnation of Muslim Democrat Ilhan Omar whose Muslim faith informs her decisions--like wearing a hijab in Congress.
