The only "pro-woman" thing that Democrats can point to is their unstinting stand for abortion and now infanticide. Of course given that abortion is something men want so that they can use women as objects rather than something that actually helps women that leaves Democrats with a bit of an image problem.
They've tried to declare that they support women because they, Democrats, support the #MeToo movement but it's clear that isn't the case.
In fact Democrats have been working for ages to exploit and abuse women. Some people are old enough to remember when Bill Clinton was accused of rape, and found guilty of lying under oath to avoid losing a #MeToo lawsuit, and Democrats told us it had no bearing on his ability to be President.
But what about Al Fraken and Harvey Weinstein?
Well it turns out in both cases the Democrats only appeared to be supporting women. What really happened was that Democrats sacrificed one of their own in order to get more power. The Democrats didn't get rid of Franken and Weinstein because they, the Democrats, cared about women but because Democrats care about power.
Democrats were standing behind Al Franken until it became clear that supporting him would increase the chances that Republican Roy Moore would win Jeff Sessions seat in the Senate. There were stories going around that Moore had dated young women, all purely consensual, which were turning off conservative voters. But if Moore could point to how Democrats were ok with out and out non-consensual sexual harassment--which is what Franken had done-- then that could have significantly reduced the impact of the accusations he was facing.
Democrats, knowing that Franken would be replaced by a strong radical leftist, threw Franken to the wolves because it meant they'd pick up a Senate seat. It's very unlikely that if Roy Moore didn't have the vulnerability that he did that Democrats wouldn't have just hunkered down and left Franken in the Senate.
The Weinstein story is very similar. The Democrats were desperately trying to take out Trump. His supporters didn't seem to care that Trump's past personal morality wasn't that great. To try and peal away values voters from Trump Democrats and the #FakeNews media created the #MeToo movement.
They figured by sacrificing Weinstein, who was losing his influence anyway, they could claim the high ground in attacking Trump. If Trump had had a perfect moral track record like Pence there would have been no #MeToo movement. After all once the Democrats got the ball rolling it ran out of control crushing a bunch of Democrats and leftists since conservatives aren't into the whole hedonistic women as objects mentality as leftists are. Sure there was a pro-life Republican who had to resign because he'd asked his mistress to get an abortion but by and large all the perps were leftists.
Further we discovered that leftists had known about all the #MeToo issues in Hollywood and the #FakeNews media and had been covering it up for years. That's why it's fair to say that without the idea of suddenly caring about women being abused Bill Clinton Democrats would not have launched the #MeToo movement.
While it's impossible to find a case were Democrats turned on one of their own due to #MeToo issues without it resulting in more power for Democrats it's easy to find examples of where Democrats who were guilty of #MeToo crimes were defended by Democrats.
The most obvious example is Bill Clinton. Even after the launch of the #MeToo initiative the worst that has happened to Bill is some reporters saying that they had been too soft on him. He wasn't shunned or ostracized and in fact to this day he's the second biggest light in the Democrat pantheon after Obama.
Then there's Hillary. It's hard to understand how the Democrats could have supported her in 2016 given that she had a proven track record of viciously assaulting and shaming the women that her husband had harassed/raped/assaulted. No Republican who had done anything remotely similar could have survived the 24/7 #FakeNews media assault that would have resulted.
Remember the Republican Senate candidate who talked about "real" rape? His offense was pointing out that if a woman says yes and then changes her mind afterwards that isn't really rape yet he was assaulted from all sides and lost his bid for the Senate as a result.
But Hillary goes around lying about the women Bill sexually harassed--and the one who credibly charged him with rape--and that's considered to be fine.
Biden is another great example. Everyone has known for years that he has a creepy totally inappropriate way of touching women and girls he doesn't know. Even the #FakeNews media is admitting that today. Yet instead of uniformly condemning his actions large parts of the #FakeNews media are defending him.
In the Biden case some of this Democrat opponents are getting their allies in the #FakeNews media to attack him while Biden's allies in the #FakeNews media are defending him. Who takes which side has nothing to do with what Biden did or their attitude towards women; all that matters is whether or not the person is for Biden or for some other Democrat. If Biden wins the nomination you'll see the Democrats and the #FakeNews media close ranks and declare that Biden is a moral paragon.
Then there's the Democrat Lt. Governor of Virginia who has been accused of rape by two women. While there were some calls for him to resign the Democrats and the #FakeNews media are simply refusing to discuss the situation hoping that it will all blow over. Hardly what you'd expect if Democrats really cared about women and the #MeToo movement.
The reality is that Democrats don't care about women any more than they care about Blacks. They use the #MeToo movement to get themselves more political power and when the #MeToo movement could hurt them they ignore it.
