Barr said in testimony to Congress:
I think spying did occur. Yes, I think spying did occur. But the question is whether it was predicated, adequately predicated. I’m not suggesting it wasn’t adequately predicated, but I need to explore that
Now we know that the campaign was spied on; that was the purpose of the FISA warrant and we know that the names of the individuals swept up by the NSA's super intelligence vacuum cleaner were unmasked and given to Democrat political operatives.
So that the US government spied on the opposition parties presidential campaign isn't something that can be credibly disputed. The issue is was that spying justified. If it wasn't then there should be hell to pay because using the government to spy on political opponents is something fascist states do.
We currently know that the FBI told the FISA court that the Steele dossier was verified citing a Yahoo News article but we now know that Comey has admitted that they didn't verify the dossier and that the Yahoo article was based on information the reporter got from Steele.
We also know that after 2 years of investigation and countless intercepted communications Mueller hasn't charged Carter Page, the target of the spying, with any crime. However the way this spying works the warrant on Page allowed the government to monitor not just page but the people he talked to and the people they talked to.
These are just a few of the things we know that seem to indicate that there was not sufficient legal basis for Obama to spy on the Trump campaign.
The reality is that the Democrats are running scared. The whole Mueller investigation was designed to cover up a massive government conspiracy to help Hillary win the presidency and now that Trump has been found innocent--even more innocent than Hillary was--they're panicking that their evil plan will be revealed.
When you hear all the Democrat lies remember that Mueller is perfect according to them and he did not file a single indictment for any sort of conspiracy or collusion with Russia. Not one. So either Mueller was secretly all in for Trump and covered up for Trump or there is nothing in the full report that justifies indicting Trump or anyone else.
