Are Blacks more likely to commit crimes? Yes. Are most Blacks honest? Yes.

While Blacks are more likely to commit crimes most Blacks are honest.  Even during the rioting after the Rodney King verdict in Los Angeles the majority of poor Blacks didn't riot and didn't loot. It was mostly the unemployed young men who did that.

For example around 7% of non-Black Americans have felony convictions while around 25% of Blacks have a felony conviction.  That means that 93% of non-Blacks are good folk while the vast majority, 75%, of Blacks are good folks too. None the less that means that Blacks are 3 times more likely to commit a felony than non-Blacks.

We know that Blacks are more likely to commit crimes, as opposed to being falsely accused, because victims identify their assailants as Black. Given that most of the victims are Black they have no reason to lie about the race of their attacker.

According to FBI data in 2013 a total of 4,396 whites and 5375 Blacks committed murder.  Given that whites make up about 73% of the population while Blacks make up around 13% Blacks are over 4 times more likely to commit murder than whites.

The dirty secret about the Black crime rate is that the victims are almost always Blacks.  93% of Blacks who are murdered each year are killed by other Blacks.  Democrats who argue that the police are all racists who over charge Blacks have no answer to why if that's the case cities where Blacks are in charge and which have fully integrated police forces still have higher arrest rates for Blacks.

For example in Washington D.C. which has had Black mayors since 1975 and 66% of the police officers are Black the ACLU reports that a Black DC resident is 8 times more likely than a white resident to be arrested for marijuana possession.  Unless one wishes to argue that Black mayors and Black cops are racists who discriminate against Blacks it would seem that perhaps there is some reason other than discrimination that causes higher arrest rates for Blacks.

But leftists point to surveys that show that Blacks self report drug use at only a 20% higher rate than whites but Blacks are arrested much more often than 120% more than whites.  There are multiple problems with this reasoning.

First studies have shown that Black men are more likely to lie about drug use than white men.  A study of Vietnam era veterans  were 20 times more likely to lie about using cocaine and twice as likely to lie about using marijuana.  Another study in the Journal of Urban Health found that Blacks were 10 times as likely to lie about cocaine usage and ten times more likely to lie about marijuana usage.

But the real proof is that according to the government Blacks are 3.5 times more likely to show up at an ER with drug overdose issues than white people.  If we restrict the ER cases to those involving marijuana the Blacks are admitted at 2.8 times the rate for whites.

Once again most Blacks aren't drug addicts or drug users; it's just that the small fraction of Blacks who are using drugs is larger than the fraction of whites who are.

A study done by independent researchers on speeders on the New Jersey Turnpike showed that a higher portion of Black drivers speeding than white drivers which may be due to the fact that the average age of Blacks is less than the average age of whites but criminals and drug users tend to be younger so the simple fact that Blacks tend to be younger results in higher crime rates for Blacks.

Second Blacks are arrested more often for other types of crime like robbery and murder. If they have drugs on them when they're arrested they'll be charged with possession; charges that wouldn't have occurred if they hadn't committed other crimes.

The simple reality is that it would be odd if Blacks are identified by their victims as committing crimes at a higher rate than white people for crimes like murder and robbery that they'd be no more likely than whites to use illegal drugs.  Once again most Blacks are honest and don't use drugs but the small percentage of Blacks who do use drugs is higher than the percentage of whites who use drugs.

The elevated crime rates among Blacks aren't due to their race since well educated middle class Blacks aren't going around committing crimes. Rather the higher crime rate is in large part due to the hell holes that Democrats force Blacks to live in in Democrat run cities like Chicago.  If whites lived in single parent households in unsafe neighborhoods with no jobs and got lousy education we would see higher crime rates for whites.

For example Blacks are much more likely to come from fatherless families than non-Blacks which is highly correlated with crime. 72% of Blacks are born into fatherless families while only 29% of whites are.  Clearly that will have a huge impact on the percentage of Blacks who are criminals without having to invoke any sort of racist assumptions.  If those numbers were reversed we'd expect to see white crime rates being much higher than Black crime rates.

A great book that goes over why disparities in outcomes aren't always related to discrimination is Thomas Sowell's, a Black man,  "Discrimination and Disparities".

So why do Democrats push for releasing Black criminals when they know that those criminals will mostly prey on Black people not on rich white Democrats?

Well it's hard to say definitively but racism is probably a big part of the problem. After all thousands of Blacks are shot in Chicago each year and Democrats do little or nothing to stop it and more importantly their lack of interest in the killing is strong evidence that they just don't care about Blacks.  One Black who attacked a cop is killed in Missouri and the Democrats and #FakeNews media are talking about it nonstop for months.  Thousands of Blacks are shot in Chicago and Democrats and the #FakeNews media are silent.

Why the difference?  The Black man who was killed in Missouri could be used by the left to attack all cops whereas the thousands of Blacks killed in Chicago can't be used to further the left's agenda. But if Democrats weren't racists they'd be concerned about all those Blacks being shot in Democrat run cities.

Of course the fact that in Chicago the Black gangs, who are responsible for a lot of the killing, bring out the vote for Democrats so Democrats also benefit from not slowing down the killing because they stay friendly with the gangs which in turn ensures that the Democrats will be reelected.

In fact increasing the crime rate is a double win for Democrats.  Blacks who Democrats have denied a decent education and who live in unsafe neighborhoods are more likely to vote for Democrats because the #FakeNews media continually blames Republican's for what Blacks are suffering and says that the only way for Blacks to survive is to vote Democrat.

Poorly educated people who are living in unsafe conditions and dependent on the government for their food are more likely to fall for the sort of fascist demagoguery that Democrats peddle no matter what their race.

The whole lie about Blacks being over incarcerated is part of the Democrats Big Lie that Blacks are being targeted by white America and that only Democrats can protect them.
