Of course there was no backlash; no Muslims houses were burned, Muslims who cheered the attack weren't arrested, and there was no evidence of any discrimination against Muslims. But that was what concerned Ilhan Omar, who happens to be Muslim.
The surviving son of a woman who was murdered on 9/11 had this to say about Omar:
“‘Some people did something,’ said a freshman congresswoman from Minnesota. To support and justify the creation of CAIR. Today I am here to respond to you exactly who did what to whom. Madam, objectively speaking, we know who and what was done. There is no uncertainty about that. Why your confusion? On that day, 19 Islamic terrorists, members of Al Qaeda killed over 3,000 people and caused billions in dollars of economic damage. Is that clear? But as to whom? I was attacked, your relatives and friends were attacked. Our constitutional freedoms were attacked. And our nation’s founding on Judeo-Christian principles were attacked. That’s what some people did. Got that now?”
What's really sad is that Omar is one of the leaders of the Democrat party and is extolled by other Democrat politicians.
When Omar expressed virulently antisemitic views, far worse than anything said about Muslim extremists after 9/11, Democrats refused to condemn her.
It's time to recognize that the Democrat leadership views Muslim extremists as better than Republicans and those who support the right to life for the unborn.
