Democrat admits that there are people who want to get rid of the Bill of Rights

It's been clear for awhile Democrats have problems with the Bill of Rights.

They think the only purpose of the 1st Amendment is to legalize pornography and drive Christians out of the public square.

They think that the 2nd Amendment is stupid because once they become our masters we'll be so happy we'd never think of revolting.

They think that the 4th Amendment doesn't apply to their political opponents and that any private information a Republican has should be accessible by his Democrat opponent.

But now Democrat House Majority whip James Clyburn has said:

"You know what, I really believe sincerely that the climate we're in today, if the Bill of Rights the first 10 Amendments of the United States Constitution, were put before the public today, I'm not too sure we'd hold onto the Bill of Rights," Clyburn said. "Especially when I see what people are doing with the Second Amendment. No telling what they'd do with the First Amendment."

"You really believe that?" host David Gura asked. "That’s a startling statement. You believe that?”

“Absolutely,” Clyburn replied. “There would be a strong support against the Bill of Rights. Go through the Bill of Rights and I’ll tell you I run into people every day who would like to see so much of those guarantees uprooted.”

It's clear that he doesn't support the 2nd Amendment and his position on the 1st is unclear.  But it's scary that Democrat politicians don't see a problem with some Americans trying to take away the freedoms of other Americans.
