Democrat's hypocrisy on the terrorist screening database

After 9/11 Americans who aren't idiots realized that airplanes could become weapons of mass destruction in the hands of suicidal Jihadis.

As a result the US set up a secret list of people who are possibly linked to terrorism.  People on that list can fly but they are subject to a more stringent search when they do so.

Now Ilhan Omar--Democrat, antisemite, and hater of America--is rejoicing over a court ruling that said that the database is unconstitutional.

Because the list is secret and people don't have an obvious way to get off it everyone agrees that there are some people on the list who don't belong there.  The problem is that historically American society has had no problem with people who didn't commit crimes having to endure a slight discomfort, like answering questions the police ask, because the police suspect the individual of having committed a crime. A tiny fraction of innocent Americans who fly having to wait a little longer before boarding a plane is a reasonable price to pay to avoid another 9/11 just like a tiny fraction of innocent Americans having to lose time dealing with the police is a reasonable price to pay to catch criminals.

What's interesting is that at the same time other Democrats are pushing for anyone in the database to lose their 2nd Amendment right to own a gun.

So Democrats are saying that the list is good enough to justify abrogating people's 2nd Amendment rights but not good enough to justify a more detailed search of the person for weapons before they board a plane.

Modern Democrats view law abiding Americans who own guns as more of a threat than Islamic radicals.  That's scary.
