CNN tries to blame Trump for #FakeNews media outing our spy in Russia

CNN said that it's Trump's fault that the US extracted a key spy from Russia in 2017.

But the CIA says, according to the NYT, said that there is absolutely no evidence that anything Trump did endangered the source. That makes sense given that the CIA first offered to get the spy out of Russia before Trump was president.

In fact the reason that the CIA wanted to extract the spy was that the media had been talking about the spy revealing information that would make it easy for the Russians to figure out who the source was.

Essentially CNN was trying to blame Trump for the media's actions.  Not surprising. Especially since the "reporter" who wrote the story was a former member of the Obama administration.

Even better the CNN article doesn't say that anyone said that Trump had mentioned this source in a dangerous way. Rather they said that people in the Swamp were concerned about Trump because he'd shared classified data with Putin.

It turns out the data shared by Trump with Putin was an ISIS plot to use laptop computers to blow up planes.  Apparently the #FakeNews media thinks the US should have concealed the fact that airplanes around the world were at risk and that new security measures needed to be put in place.  The fact that the US had already announced restrictions that clearly pointed to the threat means that all Trump did was tell the Russians something they already knew.  Given that a Russian airliner had been brought down by a terrorist attack in Egypt in 2015 sharing the information would seem to be the humane thing to do.

What CNN is really talking about is the lie being spread by the coup plotters that despite the fact that Mueller showed that Trump didn't collude with the Russians and despite the fact that while Trump says nice things about Putin Trump's foreign policy has been much harder on Putin than Obama's was Trump is somehow Putin's puppet.

This is an example of how the #FakeNews media works.

First it was their reporting that put the Russian source in danger not anything Trump did
Second they tried to blame Trump in spite of the CIA saying that wasn't the case
Third they pretended that Mueller didn't report anything and that Trump hasn't been making life miserable for Putin in order to claim that Trump is a risk.

The #FakeNews media is constantly damaging American security by revealing highly classified and highly effective programs yet they say that's ok. But Trump tries to build a better relationship with Russia, something the #FakeNews media supported during Obama's years--remember how Hillary "reset" our relationship with Russia?--, by giving them information they already suspected was true and suddenly Trump isn't trustworthy.
