What's wrong with European foreign policy in one quote: Macron edition

The US had troops in Syria to take down ISIS.  But ISIS is more of a problem for Europe since Syria is a lot closer to Europe than the US is and Europe is full of Syrian "refugees" who are causing significant problems.

But the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, had the audacity to condemn the US for withdrawing its troops from Syria in order to avoid  war with Turkey.

Of course when Trump said he was going to avoid another unending war in the Middle East Macron didn't immediately rush French troops to Syria.  Instead he just whined that America wasn't doing Europe's job for it.

But that's the norm for Europe; they view the US as an inferior country whose people should be willing to die to let Europeans have 6 week vacations each summer.

The US intervened in WWI to save England and France.

The US had to intervene in WWII to save Europe from its coddling of Hitler and to end the Holocaust.

After WWII the US spent huge amounts of money rebuilding Europe.

Europe showed its gratitude by under funding its own military and counting on the US to spend the money necessary to keep the Soviets from overrunning Germany, France, Italy, and England.  The Europeans used the money the "saved" to institute welfare states that let their citizens work less than America and have more vacation time.

Europe was eager to sell advanced military technology to China but was forced to hold off after Tiananmen Square.  But now they're all cool on making short term profits while empowering China's imperialistic agenda.

While Europe has been the target of Iranian backed terrorism they are eager to make money helping Iran become an even greater threat. The Europeans are counting on the US to ensure that Europeans can make money while not suffering the consequences.

It's likely that the #FakeNews media won't mention any of these things when they condemn Trump for calling out Marcon for his selfish statement.
