Washington Post calls for the press to ignore facts and go all out on propaganda

The job of a reporter is to provide people with the facts.

The job of a propagandist is to get people to think a certain way.

In the Washington Post Margaret Sullivan, the WaPo's "media columnist", has called for the press to go all propaganda on impeachment because the American people aren't buying the Democrats Big Lie.

Oddly for a leftist she declares that there are facts but in a comforting counterpoint what she defines as facts are in fact opinions.  In talking about how it's ok for the media to be partisan she makes her case by saying that expressing opinions about Trump isn't being partisan it's just presenting the facts.

She said:

"The notion that there are no facts, so let’s not bother to try establishing them. But here’s the thing: There are facts. There is truth. We do live in a country that abides by laws and a Constitution, and nobody ought to be above them."

She simply assumes that the fact that not one single witness gave any first hand testimony of anything wrong, much less illegal, isn't a fact but wrong think.  She assumes that the fact that she and her leftist buddies known in their hearts that orange man bad is a fact and that by presenting the existential scream that every Democrat is howling these days isn't being partisan but is being a truth teller.

The facts are clear; Trump did nothing wrong.

But to the WaPo and the #FakeNews media in general facts are something they make up to convince we the people to give Democrats more power over every aspect of our life.

The #FakeNews media abandoned truth and reporting a long time ago.
