Nancy Pelosi working to ensure that Trump is treated unfairly

The Democrats told us that the fact that Trump wasn't allowed to defend himself during Adam Schiff's show trial was ok because Trump would be allowed to defend himself during Democrat Jerry Nadler's hearing.

Problem is that was a big fat lie.  Sure the Democrats gave Trump's attorneys 2 days notice prior to Nadler's hearings, vs the two and a half weeks Republicans gave Clinton's lawyers, but the Democrats knew from the start that Nadler wouldn't actually call any witnesses.

The people that Nadler called all admitted that they had absolutely no personal knowledge of the case.  They were all called to express their personal opinions even though they had no direct knowledge of the case and even though the report on which they based all their comments was only released the day before they testified.

Essentially what the Nadler hearing was was 3 closing arguments by hyper partisan Democrat "prosecutors" and one honest description of the law by a rich white lawyer who didn't vote for Trump.

Democrats told us that Adams Schiff's investigation was like a grand jury; something that has never happened before when a President is impeached.  The correct analogy to a regular trial in America would be the trial that followed a grand jury indictment would consist of only closing arguments by 3 prosecutors, not the usual 1, and one statement of fact by an impartial witness; no witnesses, no cross examination, no closing argument by the accused's lawyer.

What the Democrats have done is create a "trial" of Trump where he couldn't call witnesses to defend himself and where his lawyers couldn't cross examine "witnesses".  That's not a trial it's a kangaroo court or a lynching.

"Witnesses" is in scare quotes because not one of the people who testified before Congress said that they had first hand knowledge of any wrong doing by Trump.  The dishonesty of the Democrat's star witness--mentioned 600 times in Schiff's report--  Ambassador Sondland is such that while he first testified under oath that there was a quid pro quo when asked he admitted that not only had no one told him there was a quid pro quo, he simply presumed on his own there was one, but that Trump had told him directly that not only wasn't there a quid pro quo but that Trump didn't want a quid pro quo.

What the Democrats are doing is insanely unAmerican.

They're saying that a defendant doesn't have the right to confront his accusers in court, doesn't have the right to call witnesses in his own defense, and that the trial is so rapid that the defendant has no chance to construct a defense.

Can you imagine how everyone in America would react if some Black guy was tried for theft and in his trial he wasn't allowed to call witnesses and his lawyers weren't allowed to cross examine the people testifying against him? Yet Democrats are saying that's fine.

It's clear that modern Democrat politicians are fascists who reject the idea of free elections unless they win. They've been calling for impeachment since before Trump took office and their basis for that changes depending on what the polls say.

There is no honest desire to support the Constitution by Democrat politicians. Rather they're using the same sort of guile that defense lawyers use to put child rapists back on the street to weaponize the Constitution to make up for Hillary Clinton's poor campaign strategy.
