Lawyer defends Biden corruption but says there's no case for impeachment

Jonathan Turley is a professor at George Washington University Law School and he'll be testifying before Congress as part of the Democrats impeachment/coup/witchhunt.

Turley's opening statement contains some odd comments along with his declaration that there is no viable case against Trump.

""The reference to the Hunter Biden deal with Burisma should never have occurred and is worthy of the criticism of President Trump that it has unleashed. However, it is not a case of bribery."

He argued the “issue is not whether these comments are correct, but whether they are corrupt.” Turley argues if Trump "honestly believed that there was a corrupt arrangement with Hunter Biden that was not fully investigated by the Obama administration, the request for an investigation is not corrupt, notwithstanding its inappropriateness.”"

If in fact Joe Biden was corrupt and used his power as the VP to protect Burisma how can it be inappropriate for Trump to talk to Zelensky, the Ukraine President, about it?

Can anyone imagine for a moment that if the story was about Trump and Trump Jr that Turley or anyone else would say that it would be inappropriate for President Hillary to discuss it with Zelensky?

Turley is a Republican but his comment shows the rot in the East Coast elitists Republican establishment.  They refuse to hold Democrats responsible for their crimes. Probably because Republicans are part of the DC establishment and so they want to protect their friends even though those friends are eager to destroy Republicans using lies.

The reality is that it would have been a crime for Trump to tell Ukraine not to investigate Joe Biden's obvious corruption.
