Without Christianity there can be no America

The fundamental tenant that makes America America is that we believe that individuals are granted by God certain rights and as such no group of people, no matter how numerous, can remove those rights.

Only Christianity, and Judaism, of the major world religions teach that each and every one of us is loved by the God who created the entire universe.  In His eyes we aren't some collective but rather members of His family and as such each of us has infinite value no matter what our state in life.

Without that belief, that our rights are from God not men, there is no reason to deny government any power.  If rights flow from men then if the majority of men say that there is no freedom to exercise our faith then government can keep us from exercising our faith.

That's why Democrat politicians hate any religion that doesn't conform to their own personal beliefs because that faith stands against their ability to attain complete control over the lives of Americans.

That's why Hillary Clinton declared that religions must change their beliefs to conform to the morality espoused by Democrats.

But without the belief that we are all equal before God there is nothing to stop the government from doing any evil so long as the majority of the people support that evil.  The Holocaust for example was legal in Nazi Germany.

This is why the continual attack on Christianity in the public square, in conversations about what the government should do, is an existential threat to America.  We see Democrats repeatedly attacking judges for being Catholic in direct contradiction to the Constitution which states:

"...but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States."

If people of faith can't advocate for what they believe to be best then the only voice in public debates will be that of secular humanists.  This is in direct violation of the First Amendment which forbids the establishment of a single government endorsed religion.

Have no doubt that atheism is a religion.  It's based on faith; on things that atheists can't prove to be true.  For example atheists can't show that the Bible is not historically correct nor can they show that the law of conservation of energy is incorrect--a necessity if the universe is to exist and there is no god.

As Prof. Hawking has pointed out if there is no god then we can't have free will because if we are just "meat machines" all our thoughts are chemical reactions in our brains over which we have absolutely no control.  But atheists can't prove that, contrary to what we all know goes on in our minds, we don't in fact have free will; we don't choose to give to a charity or not eat a candy bar.

Having a god is no requirement for a religion since Buddhism has no god yet everyone considers it to be a religion.

The assault on Christianity in America by the elite Democrats, academia, and the media is based on their desire to create a state religion which conforms to their own personal beliefs and which is a clear and obvious violation of the First Amendment.

To say that public school teachers can invoke atheists such as Nietzsche but not Jesus is to say that in public discourse only the atheist faith can be invoked and all other faiths must be suppressed.

Atheism is just what Democrats want in that under atheism there is no such thing as inalienable rights or objective truth.  In atheism men are the only sources of moral guidance and men disagree on what is right.  Therefore there can be no objective morality or inalienable rights because both are man made constructs which can be changed by men.

In a secularized America there will be no limit on government power and there will be no protection for the rights of minorities either.

Now none of this means that Americans have to conform to Christian beliefs and practices other than the belief that our fundamental rights are not subject to manipulation by government.  No one is calling for a theocracy or for giving Christianity more rights than any other faith.  All that is needed is the agreement that each person no matter their race, gender, creed, age, or wealth has certain inalienable rights which government can never abridge or remove.

But given the unquenchable thirst for power that motivates modern Democrats they can't stand the ida that a God they generally give at best lip service to could limit their power over the rest of us.
