"Fact Checking" #FakeNews media style

Trump said that there was a 10 foot wall around Obama's house and the Washington Post said that was a lie.

While it's true that there isn't a 10 foot tall wall around Obama's house there is an effective wall that shelters the Obama's from the riff raff. The Daily Caller sent someone to fact check the fact checkers.  Unfortunately they couldn't do so because they couldn't get to Obama's house to check:

“Obama does not have one wall. He has many. He has barricades. He has armed guards entirely blocking the suburban road where he lives. Multiple cement and iron barricades block the road leading up to the Obama mansion. A Secret Service car and agent keep people from entering the stretch of road on both ends approximately 1,000 feet in both directions.”

Hence Trump's point was right even if his details were wrong.  Obama employs extensive security at taxpayer expense to prevent unwanted individuals from entering his yard.  Obama clearly believes that such security works and is useful when it comes to protecting himself.  Hence it's hypocritical of Obama to pretend that a border wall wouldn't reduce illegal immigration.

And it's basically a lie for the Washington Post to call Trump's minor factual error a lie.  A real lie is when the message is intentionally wrong.  When Obama repeatedly told us we could keep our doctors and our health insurance if we wanted to he was lying because his basic message was intentionally untrue.  Trump's point, that Obama uses barriers and other security measures similar to what Trump wants for the border to ensure his own security, is true even though there is no 10 foot wall around Obama's mansion.
