The Democrats telegraph their plans; first ban guns, then knives, and then ice

The Democrats are very clear in their desire to prevent law abiding people from having guns to defend themselves.

The Democrats are just as clear that criminals who use or have a gun in the commission of a crime are getting sentences that are too long.

Hence the Democrat position is to stop honest people from being able to defend themselves while ensuring that criminals can have easy access to the "tools" of their trade.

If the Democrats succeed we know that the next step is to ban pointy knives.  In England where guns are banned knife crimes have been soaring in London.  As a result some people are actually saying that people have no need to have a pointy knife at home and strict knife control policies have been implemented in London.

Having already signaled a move into the absurd the Democrats plans beyond restricting knives was unclear until the Kavanaugh hearing.

There we learned that ice is a deadly weapon. Apparently Democrats recall the horror of being struck by a hard packed snowball, if they lived in the North, or a piece of ice out of their umbrella drink, if they lived in the South.  As such they now equate throwing ice with mass murder and genocide.

Given that Democrats are cat and wine people they won't mind if ice is banned.  By banning ice the Democrats will be able to sleep more soundly so as to prepare for their fight to abolish the First Amendment for everything other than pornography.
