We shouldn’t call judges conservatives or liberals. The issue isn’t the personal political opinions of a judge but whether or not they’re honest or dishonest.
An honest judge is one who does their best to apply the law as written and intended to the case at hand irrespective of what the judge would like the result of the case to be.
A dishonest judge is one who decides how they want the case to be resolved and then deconstructs the text of some existing law in order to justify their decision.
Using the terms conservative and liberal is tacitly accepting the idea that judges have a right to inject their own personal ideology into their decisions.
But doing so essentially abrogates the Constitution and takes the power from the people and gives it to the unelected judges.

That's why the Democrats view Kavanaugh as an existential crisis. With him on the court there will be 5 honest judges and 4 dishonest ones which means that the Democrats can't use the Court to impose their will on we the people.
